Downer Energy Systems has the capability and experience to deliver a complete range of products to satisfy your requirements for surface condensers for steam turbine plant. In addition to steam condensers we are able to offer steam dump and attemperation equipment and all other auxiliaries necessary to complete the system. Our reliable and well established reputation for proven design and fabrication capabilities is supplemented by field erection and commissioning services.
Our condensers are designed and manufactured under license to Alstom Power (Switzerland) Limited. Condenser performance has been fine-tuned by research and development studies undertaken by and in cooperation with our licensor.
We have complete in house capability to design, manufacture, erect and commission steam surface condensers of any size. We offer the most extensive experience list of any Australian Manufacturer in this field.
All condensers feature optimised air extraction venting systems for optimal performance.
Small Surface Condensers
We design and manufacture small to medium sized shop assembled steam condensers to meet your complete project requirements. Our range includes a semi-standardized range of small condensers enabling efficient and timely delivery of our product. For small condensers, fit out of valves, instrumentation and controls can be undertaken in the shop to reduce the duration of site work.
Modular Retrofits
Downer Energy Systems have a well established reputation for providing performance enhancing modular retrofit of troublesome condensers. Typically replacement units are supplied with titanium tubing for 'replace and forget' peace of mind. Our solutions can assist in improving plant performance, efficiency and environmental compliance. The modular retrofit method of condenser refurbishment enables extremely demanding overhaul schedules to be maintained.
Materials
We have established procedures and experience with all commonly used tubing materials and are able to offer the end user technical support in respect of material selection for a specific project. Our experience extends to fully welded titanium tubed condensers.
